Welcome From The President

Welcome, my name is Vester Smith III, I am the President and Overseer of Smith Bible Institute. It was in July 1995 when I got saved at Pure Heart Church and my life changed forever.  As I continued to seek the Lord to know more of His word, He led me to God’s House Church where I learned there was a Bible Institute within the church.  My heart almost beat out of my chest with excitement and I knew I was in the right place.  I had great mentoring by my Pastor, Assistant Pastors and other great men and women of God.  When I enrolled in the classes, “I didn’t know what I didn’t know” but through those classes I found my calling and purpose for being here on the earth, to spread the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love the Father has for us.  Jesus asked his disciples the question “will the Son of Man find faith when He returns”, he also commanded them to “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching to observe all things that I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age”.  This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations and then shall the end come.  This has been passed on to me and I am grateful to have the opportunity to pass this on to you.  So I pray that through your study of the word, walking in the Spirit and constant prayer life, the eyes of your understanding will be open and you will walk in the confidence and assurance of the Word of the Lord and that you may also teach others what you have learned.

Having grown up in church in the South and moving to New Mexico by way of the military, was an eye opener for me. As I started to look back at how I grew up,I  discovered that going to church and having the Church in you are not the same thing! Life has taken my family and I through many hard trials, but going through the Word of Life classes has made a difference in that it has help equip me for this battle we call life. Not to say that I am a know-it-all, because we all should never stop learning. Bible Institute has been a great foundation to help me in everything God has called me to do. I now know that whatever area I find myself in this life-if I bring the Word of Life, God's Word, I cannot fail.

I am so glad that I had and still have the opportunity to be taught about God and His Word by Elder Vester Smith. He is an amazing Spirit-filled instructor, and through his teachings, has been very instrumental in my Spiritual growth. He inspired me to attend and graduate from the Word of Life Institute at God’s House Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pastor Vester Smith is an anointed and dynamic teacher. As a former student at the Word of Life Bible College. I was very blessed to learn from him as he taught several of the classes necessary for me to receive my Ministerial License in 2008. His expository teaching style is very colorful, unique and literally brings the people, culture ns doctrines if the bible to life. Pastor's Smith unwavering stance and teachings on holiness and how to be an effective servant of God has remained with me to this day. I am very excited for him as he launches this school and I highly recommend it.

      Alignment

         Study
    These were more [a]fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts 17:11)     Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
         Memorize
     How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. (Psalm 119:9-11)
         Meditate
    Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)    This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[c] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:8-9)
          Alignment
    This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)
         Licensing and Ordination
    Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: (1Peter 1:10)
         Active
    Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:19-20)
          Continued Education
     Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
         Conclusion
     Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
